Error - 'Multiple operation call failed. The request was aborted. could not create SSL/TLS secure channel when using the web connector'

This occurs when the web connector is not compatible with TLS 1.2 or the web connector is not configured to use TLS 1.2 if available. You must have version 1.1 or later of the web connector installed to be able to use TLS 1.2.

To check the installed version of the web connector follow these steps:

  1. Log in to TaskCentre then click Manage.

  2. Click Tools then click Data Connectors.

the version of the web connector should be displayed.

If the version is 1.1 or later,

  1. Double click the web connector tool then select the configuration that is being used.

  2. Click Edit then click the Authentication tab.

  3. Select Use TLS 1.2 if available then click OK to save the change.

If the version is prior to 1.1, please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article.
