A user is receiving a duplicate email from a task that uses a SQL trigger step

This can occur for different reasons:
When there are two separate instances of TaskCentre running.

To resolve this issue:

  1. Disable the server service on the instance that is a duplicate by logging on to the server hosting the software.

  2. Run the services snap-in.

  3. Right-click on the TaskCentre Server Service.

  4. Select Properties.

  5. Change the Startup Type to Disabled.

When there are two MSSQL trigger agents configured.

To resolve this issue:

  1. In the case that there are two agents configured, unregister one of the agents by logging in to TaskCentre.

  2. Expand the System node.

  3. Click on Agents.

  4. Right-click on the agent to unregister.

  5. Select Unregister.
