A syntax error usually means the email address the task is sending to isn't formatted correctly. Check the task event log to see which address is causing the problem, then update it:
Open the SMTP (email) step and check the **To**, **CC**, and **BCC** fields. If the incorrect address is listed there, update it.
If the **To**, **CC**, or **BCC** field contains code (such as a RecordSet reference), the email address is being pulled from the task's data query. Check the Database Query (ODBC) step to find where the email address is sourced from. Contact support if you need help with this.
Once you've found the email address, update it as required.
