A task is sending out emails displaying HTML tags instead of parsing them.

This is controlled by using a "Format as HTML" step before the "Send Message (SMTP)" step. Set the body of the message to the field from the record source in the Main tab. In the Formatting tab set "Treat Data Source as:" to HTML.

  1. Follow these steps to achieve this:

  2. Log in to TaskCentre, Open the relevant task

  3. If required, drag a "Format as HTML" step from the browser into the task and connect it to the Database Query step and "Send Message (SMTP)" step.

  4. Open the "Format as HTML" step, select the General tab

  5. Ensure that "Use a Recordset" is enabled and the "Input Recordset" is set to the previous step

  6. Select the Formatting tab

  7. Drag the relevant field from the record source into the design pane

  8. Select the Options tab

  9. Set "Treat Source Data as:" to "HTML"

  10. click OK to save the step, click OK to save the task
