Trace log files (with a .log extension) are generated in the iwtemp folder when there is an issue with TaskCentre that is being investigated. Follow the steps below to stop them from being created.

📌 **Note:** This procedure involves editing the computer's registry. Editing the registry incorrectly can cause serious harm to your system. Only follow these steps if you have the knowledge and experience to do so safely.

Go to the following node: **HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Orbis Software\TaskCentre**.

Add a new DWORD called EnableTraces. This is case sensitive.

1. Open the Registry Editor.
2. Go to the following node: **HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Orbis Software\TaskCentre**.
3. Add a new DWORD called EnableTraces. This is case sensitive.
4. Modify the value to 0.
5. Close the Registry Editor.

There are a large number of files in the iwtemp folder with an extension of .log
