Setting up a new ODBC connection

ODBC connections to be used in Orbis TaskCentre can be set up from within TaskCentre itself. This ensures that they are configured correctly for the application.

  1. Log into TaskCentre

  2. Browse to Manage, Tools, Input, Database Query (ODBC)

  3. Click Add

  4. Select the "SQL Server" driver under "ODBC Drivers", enter the relevant server and log in details and click OK to save OR choose the relevant server under "Data Sources", enter the relevant log in details and click OK to save. Additional options can be edited under the "Options >>" button if required

  5. Once saved, you will be taken back to the main ODBC screen

  6. Highlight your new ODBC connection and click Test to check the connection is working

  7. You can make any changes necessary by highlighting the connection and clicking Properties
