If you see this error when opening the TaskCentre client, it usually means the application cannot access the required registry keys.
This error can occur when the application cannot access the values for the registry keys:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Orbis Software\TaskCentre\ID1
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Orbis Software\TaskCentre\ID2
Set permissions on these keys to allow the TaskCentre application to read and write to them — contact your IT team to arrange this. Alternatively, set the application to **Run as Administrator**. If neither option resolves the error, the software may have become corrupted. To fix this:
Open **Add or Remove Programs** in Windows.
Select the TaskCentre application and click **Change**.
Select **Repair** and follow the on-screen instructions.
Restart the TaskCentre services.
